In doing so you’ll learn how much you qualify for, what program options are available to you, what monthly payment to expect, and also if there are any proactive steps you can take to make the homebuying process easier on yourself.

This is the first step towards owning a home, and will give you insight on how much you qualify for and what programs/terms to expect. It will also allow you to work quickly to submit an offer once you find the right home.
Your realtor will search the “MLS” for homes that fit your needs. If you see something you like, you’ll be able to view it in person and your realtor will help write a strong offer if you think it’s the one.
Once your offer is accepted, you’ll open escrow. This is the ~30 day timeframe where you will do your inspections on the property, we will submit your loan to be reviewed by the underwriter, appraise the home to confirm the value and more.
Your most recent two years Federal income tax returns (all pages).
Your most recent two years end of year W2 tax form you receive from your employer.
Your paystubs for the most recent 30 days.
Your monthly bank account statements for the most recent two months; only account(s) holding down payment funds are necessary.
Drivers license, passport or other form of identification.
